A VERY BRIEF HISTORY<\/h2>\n

I fell in love with the saxophone when I was 9.<\/p>\n

I found an old bundy alto in an avocado green case while snoopin’ around in my grandparents basement. I hauled it up the rickety wooden staircase to the garage and burst through the front door, slamming the thing down on the kitchen table. I thought I’d found buried treasure. From that moment, I knew I wanted to play the saxophone. The pearls, the brass, the way the neck curved, all the buttons to push – I mean, who<\/em> doesn’t love pushing buttons?<\/p>\n

Fast forward to present day – 9 year old me would be THRILLED to know I’m still…you guessed it…playing the saxophone. Nonstop.<\/p>\n

PRESENT-ISH<\/h2>\n

With twenty some-odd years in my corner pocket, I’ve come to realize my strength lies in listening, truly being in the moment and tuning in to the miniature universe of light, energy and sound being created around me. I’ve been graced with this wild sensory gift that makes playing all different kinds of music with all different kinds of musicians, from traditional jazz, to experimental metal, the best thing in this world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

FUTURE GOALS<\/h2>\n

In 2020 and beyond, I want to record on other peoples’ albums in the studio. I want to make more noise and learn more about what types of sounds my instruments are physically capable of. I want to learn how to incorporate electronics into the ambient musical wackadoodles I love to make. And last but not least, I want to start a quintet.<\/p>\n
